Treasure Hunting Kit

This was really cool to learn about what was in the soil on my property. I’m getting ready to do a pretty big landscaping project and I was surprised to find that there were a number of insights offered up from the testing that helps me to understand what plants will work and thrive and what ones will not. That alone made it worth it! I’m continuing to dig into the report and have really enjoyed all the helpful information that speaks directly to what I have.

Undr gave us a very thorough overview of the soil sample, far beyond what I expected. It included the geological history of our area. Of course,I was curious about the silver and gold numbers, which were insignificant in our case, but the information about how the soil would be for plants was also helpful. I loved all the charts and graphs to get a visual idea of the various ingredients of the soil, and how those quantities compared with other areas. So interesting.

Very cool to see what’s in my soil. It’s reassuring to know there are no heavy metals or toxins. I’d love a readout on NPK numbers in the future so I can mend the soil for gardening, if needed!

I wanted to test the soil because my landlord really loves gardening and growing plants, so I thought this would be a fun little thing to do for her and something she’d probably enjoy knowing more about. It also made me curious about what might actually be in the soil around the house. I chose a spot where there’s a natural drainage path, because I learned that can be a good place to collect a sample. I honestly thought the process was going to be a little complicated, but it was way easier than I expected. It was actually really fun to do, and now I’m even more curious to see the results and learn what’s in the soil!!
